Good news or is it good news?

Well we must congratulate Croydon Council for taking notice of our views but they have not taken notice of all of our views.

Well done to those who are signing our petition. We already have over 2000 and could possibly be 3000 shortly. Not bad in just under two weeks. We now have more time to get another 1000 or more.

WELL DONE, It really does show the feeling that the people want a Pool in Purley and they are prepared to say so. Councillors please take note and we need your support. For the first time some Councillors are saying that they see why we do not want the pool closed.

If sufficient members of the public say what they want, which is, A SWIMMING POOL AND GYM IN PURLEY, the local councillors will start to take notice and possibly back us. We now have a stay of execution but the noose is still waiting.

What can we do? The answer is to keep telling them and not forget that the pool could close anytime if they say they cannot afford repairs. We are hopeful of having a small group meeting with our local councillors to start a discussion because to date they have not canvassed the views of the public.

This is an important subject which is currently hidden because of the Tesco development for Purley being the big talking point.

Please keep talking about our Pool in Purley and keep getting the signatures. It is still SAVE PURLEY POOL.
